Careers in Cisco and Red Hat Engineering are progressively growing. They include, but are not limited to:
- Network Administrator
- Network technicians
- Network Security Professional
- These and similar career paths can be realized through the employment and businesses and organizations in a variety of industries, not limited to just the IT industry.
In this area, duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strong knowledge and technical skills in key network hardware and software platforms including Cisco Switches, routers and PIX/ASA Firewalls
- Working knowledge of embedded and full operating systems (IOS, Windows, Router and switching platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) and how they interact with the network
- A thorough understanding of the OSI network model
- Ethernet and TCP/IP Networking
Grade 12 or equivalent or Mature Student status.
Courses are open to any applicant who possesses a good command of the English language and is able to follow instructions.
An admissions interview will be administered to determine if the applicant has the required interest, motivation, and entry-level skills to take this program.
Students must attend the required hours and times per week per the course schedule.
